Our story began in 1947 and boasts over 100 marine projects, accompanied by many technical innovations, fundamental breakthroughs in the field of transportation and a progressive and constant internationalization.
Today we operate on a world-scale; our range of action spans from consultancy to technical services in the marine sector.

1947
Giuseppe Averame, Marine Engineer, establishes a Marine Engineering Company specialised in project design and construction of new vessels under the commission of shipyards. -
1947 – 1974
The company continues to grow and increase its workforce, designing over 100 vessels of various types and sizes. -
1961
The Company participates in the project design for “Canguro”, the first Italian ferries for both passenger and vehicle transportation featuring a mobile stern ramp for vehicle roll on/roll off. -
1968
The company participates in the project design of cargo only vessels with diesel electric propulsion: a huge innovation at the time. -
1970
Vincenzo Averame, marine Engineer and son of Giuseppe, enters the family company. Thanks to his contribution and to the special synergy with another Marine Engineer Franco, widens the corporate field of action to include ship management. -
1974 – 1984
The company continues to grow and develop, managing over 20 vessels owned by Italian Ship Owners. -
1984
International cooperation with Acomarit and VShips of Geneva for the technical management of several vessels. -

2002
The company provides the project design for oil/chemical tankers and offers assistance during construction in China. -
2004
The company begins collaborating with Leasint (a Lease company of Banca Intesa), now Mediocredito Italiano SpA. -
2007
The company begins collaborating with Calit (a Lease company of Banca Credit Agricole), now Credit Agricole Leasing Srl. -
2008
Giuseppe Averame, Marine Engineer, Vincenzo’s son bearing his grandfather’s name, enters the family company. He contributes to the increase of business as insurance surveyors for Italian and foreign companies. -
